Scott A. Drake has lived in Gwinnett County since 1993. After graduating from North Springs High School, he attended the University of Georgia and is a proud graduate of U.G.A.. Upon graduating, Scott spent three years working and saving for law school and in 1987 was admitted to the Georgia State University College of Law and received his law degree from Georgia State University College of Law in 1991. He was admitted to the State Bar of Geogia November of that same year.

After working his way through law school, Scott began his legal career as a prosecutor for the Augusta Judicial Circuit. In 1993, he became an Assistant Solicitor for Gwinnett County, where he prosecuted thousands of D.U.I. and Family Violence cases. Between1998 and 2000 he served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Northeastern Judicial Circuit prosecuting felonies and misdemeanor and has also worked as a part time solicitor for the City Court of Lawrenceville.

In 2000, he began his own law practice defending citizens accused of crimes. In 2005, Scott joined the Sliz Law Firm as a Partner, where he also served as the first defense attorney for the Gwinnett County Drug Court Program and has represented thousands of people accused of criminal charges from traffic offenses to murder. He currently specializes in D.U.I. defense work as well as drug defense and major felonies. His aggressive representation of his clients has resulted in numerous acquittals and dismissals as well as thousands of favorable plea deals.

Scott is married to Tracy Stephens Drake and they have three lovely children Taylor, Robbie and Marley. Scott and his family attend Hebron Baptist Church where Tracy is active in the choir.
The Drake family has lived in the Grayson area for 8 years and have long been supporters of Grayson Athletics.

Mr. Drake is an member of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Gwinnett County Bar Association. Also a former president of the Gwinnett County Criminal Defense Section of the Gwinnett County Bar. He is admitted to practice in all Georgia – State and Superior Courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court and the United States District Court of the Northern District of Georgia.
